About This Role
Hello! We’re Scholera.
We’re building the first AI-native LMS designed from the ground up for students, by students. Scholera’s not just another learning platform, it’s a tool designed to support you through your entire academic journey by working alongside you as a tutor, scheduler, digital map of all the concepts you’ll learn, and so much more.
And yes, we’re a startup. We’re just getting started on our journey of building out this platform with a true mission to help students get back to learning the right way. But we need people like you to make that happen.
Who you are:
- You’re an innovator. Not afraid to take on challenges that may be out of your depth.
- You’re a social person. You like getting out there, meeting new people, and connecting with students and educators.
- You’re a university student or recent grad with some experience in social media marketing, content creation, collaboration, and film (no, we don’t need you to have a degree).
- You’re not afraid to be the face of the brand. We’re looking for someone to get out there and have real conversations with real end users. We need you to be comfortable on camera.
- And most importantly, you’re excited about working in a startup environment. This isn’t a 9–5, sit-in-a-cubicle kind of role. We’re moving fast, and we need you to take ownership from day one.
What you’ll do:
- Work with external firms in developing brand identity, color themes, and logos.
- Weigh in on UI decisions for the platform, establishing cohesiveness and brand synergy.
- Launch social media pages across platforms, developing daily content and content calendars.
- Travel to nearby college campuses and universities for live campus interviews with real students and educators.
- Create branded templates for company media and posts.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in social media marketing, branding, and content creation (does not have to be professional).
- Current university student in the New York City metropolitan area.
- Ability to travel to Hoboken, NJ at least once per week.
- Strong skills in Canva, Illustrator, and/or Figma.
- Experience with Resolve, Premiere Pro, or Final Cut preferred.
- Portfolio of past projects/demonstrated social media following.
Compensation:
- Compensation for this role is $19.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience.
- This is not a traditional 9–5 role. We operate with a flexible schedule but expect a consistent commitment of ~20 hours per week. You’ll have the freedom to structure your time, but ownership and reliability are key.
