About This Role

Hey. We're Scholera.

We're building an AI-native Learning Management System — and before you ask, no, it's not just ChatGPT inside a gradebook.

We're rebuilding the whole thing from scratch around how people actually learn. Smart assignment creators, adaptive content, AI feedback loops, personalized learning paths. Some of it exists. A lot of it is still just ideas waiting for the right person to build them.

That person might be you.

What you'll actually do

What you'll actually do

  • Design and build RAG pipelines and vector database systems
  • Integrate and manage multiple LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini — you pick the right tool for the job)
  • Build AI agents that take real actions inside the platform
  • Create features like smart assignment generators, adaptive quizzes, automated feedback, and personalized learning paths
  • Help define the AI architecture of the entire platform — from the ground up
  • Break things, fix them, and make them better

Ship features that real students and professors use, get feedback, iterate.

And yes , it's a startup.

Some days you're deep in architecture. Other days you might be hopping on a call with a university, helping think through a demo, writing a quick post about what we built, or stress-testing the app at midnight before a pitch. You'll wear a lot of hats. It's a lot of fun. You'll grow fast.

What we're looking for

  • Hands-on experience or genuine obsession with RAG, vector DBs (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, etc.)
  • Comfortable juggling multiple LLM APIs and knowing when to use which model
  • Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar
  • You think in systems, not just features
  • You Google things you don't know instead of giving up

Any experience level - attitude and execution over credentials

Compensation

Paid and unpaid tracks available. Equity on the table for the right long-term fit. Let's talk.
